What it’s like?

A simple casual place to have a meal. They are not trying to hard at Isla and that is a good thing. You should feel comfortable knocking back a few shots of Tequila at the bar and the dining room is a good place for a casual meal. Nothing too fancy but the average décor makes the place a good choice for a late lunch or an early dinner. If you are looking to save a few bucks hit the place before a show and you will get your money’s worth.

How’s the food?

Easily the best way to experience Isla is with a plate of tacos, some chips and salsa and a Margarita. You will have a good time in the casual atmosphere of Isla. Do not expect super authentic Mexican food because you most likely will be disappointed. If you can enjoy an affordable meal and a version of Americanized Mexican you will be satisfied. A must try at Isla is the Roast Port Pipian. While I have heard it could be better, it is perfectly fine with me.
