How can a Cirque du Soleil show be bad? It can't. Couple that with music from the Beatles and you get a slam dunk.

2. The Erupting Volcano at the Mirage

I can remember opening night like it was yesterday and the Volcano impressed me no more than it does every time I see it. Feel the heat as you watch the flames from Las Vegas Blvd. It's a free show so watch it a few times.

3. Stack at The Mirage

Stack is not just a good looking place to eat, it has style from the bar to the dining room. The food? Consider comfort foods reinvented as Stack reintroduces you to those flavors you have loved since way before you starting counting carbs. Make sure you have the dessert.

4. Carnegie Deli at the Mirage

Is it necessary to explain that I have a thing for corned beef and pastrami on Rye? Grab a Woody Allen and peak out over the casino as you clog your arteries.

5. The Pool at the Mirage

The pool is huge and at times in the middle of the day it is hard to imagine so many people wearing so little in such a confined space. But, if you want to have a god time the pool at the Mirage is a good bet.

6. Cravings: The Buffet at the Mirage

The buffet offers a lot, from sushi to noodles to BBQ and some Latin dishes. Get there early and stay late and you just might get to try everything.

7. The Mirage Hotel

The Mirage is Classic Las Vegas. Sure it is not as old as the Stardust, Sahara and the Riviera but it is what defines the new look that Las Vegas now has. It feels elegant, yet not pretentious. It looks flashy but not over the top ridiculous. Spend any amount of time there and you will easily see what I’m talking about.
