1. Absinthe at Caesars Palace Las Vegas
Currently Absinthe is my favorite show in Las Vegas. It is the best show in Las Vegas and it delivers with comedy, thrilling acrobats and adult themes that welcome you to Las Vegas. The seating in the small theater will have you so close to the action you'll like you are part of the show.
2. The Beatles "Love" at the Mirage - The Best Show in Las Vegas
Stand outside the theater as the show lets out and that should be an indication to you as to how good this show is. It's the perfect combination of good music and stunning performers. If there is only one show in Las Vegas that you will see, you will not be disappointed if you choose LOVE. I often tell people that this is the best show in Las Vegas and that no matter how many times see it it still amazing. Plenty of Las Vegas shows can entertain you, this show will move you.
3. Blue Man Group
You'll be entertained like never before, you'll surprise yourself with the need to tap your feet and you'll engage your senses with a desire to experience it all. So simple, so complicated, so basic, so advanced. Two shows nightly, everyday of the week, you can bet they are doing something right. This is the Las Vegas show that can work for the entire family.
4. Mystere at Treasure Island Hotel
This is the first Cirque du Soliel show to hit Las Vegas and I still think it is among the best. There is a story line and the pre-show entertainment is worth getting to the showroom 30 minutes early. The drums from high above set the tone and the visual display of athleticism is worth every penny of the cost of a ticket to Mystere. This has become one of the longer runnng shows in Las Vegas and it is a must see.
5. Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian Hotel
That guy screaming Christine! Christine! as you walk down the Las Vegas strip, that's me. I'm a huge fan and Phantom the Las Vegas Spectacular is a version you do not want to miss. Take out the intermission and I believe you add something to the entire production. The theater is great and the performance is incredible. This is the Las Vegas show that is a favorite around the world.
6. Viva Elvis at Aria Resort and Casino
"Viva Elvis" presents Elvis Presley and his life in such a way that the Las Vegas visitor who is a fan of the King and his music will come out excited and pleased. What the show does not do is satisfy the Cirque du Soleil fan who wants to be mesmerized by the typical spectacular and stunning performers who have taken residence on the Las Vegas Strip. This is a Las Vegas show and not a typical Cirque du Soleil show. I'm an Elvis fan so I have seen more than my share of times.
7. "O"-Cirque Du Soleil, Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas
Personally, I like Mystere, at Treasure Island, much more but the general consensus seems to be that "O" at the Bellagio Hotel is much better. I spent too much time trying to figure out how to hold my breath for 3 minutes underwater to enjoy the show. The performers are extremely talented and you will be impressed. The price tag can be high but the entertainment is up there with the best in Las Vegas. Plenty of people have called this the best show in Las Vegas and you will be impressed.
8. Jersey Boys at the Palazzo Las Vegas
The Jersey Boys in Las Vegas is a tough ticket to get but the show is consistently ranked among the best. A good story, a talented cast and the familiar sounds of a generation that set the tone for entertainment for plenty of years since. JERSEY BOYS is the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of town became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. The Four Seasons are performing in one of the best Las Vegas shows on the strip.
9. Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas
Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas takes you beyond the ordinary and welcomes you into the sublime. From any seat in the Wynn Theater you get a view of the more than 80 athletes and entertainers as they engage your imagination with a performance that borders the space between imagination and reality. "Le Reve" (The Dream) allows you to escape into the world created by your mind as your subconscious takes over and you drift off to dream.
10. Penn and Teller at the Rio Las Vegas
More people seem to love this show than I would ever have guessed. It's a good Las Vegas show but I cannot imagine how many people love the quick witted nature of Penn and the facial expressions of Teller. A bartender mentioned to me that she believed they were pouring stiff drinks in the theater because people seemed to be having a lot more fun after that show than any other in Las Vegas. As Las Vegas shows go Penn and Teller do succeed in keeping you interested for the full 90 plus minutes.
