Saw the Show June 2008
Con: audience participation if our section was terrible
I definitely would recommend this show for anyone who is ready for a good time. If you are looking for a typical quiet evening out for dinner, don't go.
Yes, you eat with your fingers, you sing along with Merlin, you toast with your tankard held high, and you pound on the table all the while shouting at the top of your lungs.
The food was not exceptional but tasty nonetheless. Tomato soup, Cornish hen, seasoned broccoli, 4 potato wedges, dinner roll, and dessert were the course that particular night.
Drinks are limited to Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Sierra Mist. The servers had their game all night. Order a drink from their full bar and you keep the souvenir tankard! They even take your picture for optional purchase ($20.00-which was worth it for us on our anniversary).
The actors themselves are to be commended. They actually enjoyed their work (or so it appeared to us). They were well rehearsed and interacted with the audience very well. And believe me, some of the audience was hard to work with. I wanted to yell, "Hey wake up...the performance is for you." Instead I yelled all the louder in favor of my king.
We enjoyed the interaction with the performers. We had front row middle seats. I recommend them. The performers stand on the low wall right in front of you so you get the little extra conversations. If you order on line you don't get to choose your seats. If you go on the strip, you can purchase tickets 1/2 price and usually get to choose from their selections.
Did I mention there is an actual storyline including the evil Mordred and his army? If you're feeling a little on the bad side, you can cheer him on in the Dragon section. The pyrotechnics were entertaining but can cause problems for those with asthma or similar breathing problems.
Overall, for the money (we did pay full price) it was well worth it and plan to go again with our son.
