“Strip Search”

The Quest for the Next Lounge Entertainer Begins Aug. 6 at Bally’s

Raw Talent Meets the Race and Sports Book

Bally’s Las Vegas introduces “Strip Search,” the ultimate talent search to find the next Las Vegas lounge sensation. Beginning Aug. 6, the Race and Sports Book sets the stage for vocalists to showcase their abilities to a panel of judges for cash, prizes and a one-night lounge performance contract.

“Strip Search” will be conducted every Friday and Saturday night through Sept. 25, from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. and is open to vocalists of all skill levels. Contestants are encouraged to arrive at 9 p.m. to sign-up; performances are scheduled by order of arrival. Karoake hosts Martin Andrew and Kelly Karl will be on site with a full library of songs that span the decades. Each night, one winner will be selected to go on to participate in the finals that will be held on Oct. 1.

“Strip Search” will be judged by three officials ranging from local performers to members of the media. The contestants are judged on a scale of 1-10, based on style, presentation and vocal ability. Sixteen finalists will compete for cash, hotel accommodations, dinner at a Bally’s restaurant of choice and a one-night contract to perform in The Indigo Lounge at a future date.

“Strip Search” performances will be broadcasted simultaneously on 11 overhead large projection screens and will be heard over the Book’s state of the art sound system. Throughout the evening, guests may enjoy drink specials and prizes from Miller Lite.

The Bally’s Sports Book seats more than 200 guests, in addition to 125 guests in the new “Book” sports lounge. The Bally’s Race and Sports Book is located on the ground level of the resort, inside the Bally’s Avenue Shoppes. For official contest rules, please visit the Race and Sports Book.
