If you are planning on getting tickets from the National Finals Rodeo Box Office be sure to plan your trip early. The Box Office sells out months in advance. Here is a link to the official box office: http://www.nfrexperience.com/
Every year there is a lottery process. Get your name in early enough and you may have a shot at landing some decent seats.
Get all the details on the NFR Las Vegas If you need info on events, entertainment or tickets you can find it right here.
The box office also sells “Mad Dash Tickets” when reserved seating is sold-out. Patrons with a “Mad Dash” ticket can sit in any Balcony seat not occupied by a reserved seat ticket holder. Here’s the catch. If the person who owns that seat shows up, you have to move to another empty seat. You can do this for up to 30 minutes after the start of the Rodeo. If you are unable to find an empty seat in that time, you will enjoy the Rodeo standing in the concourse. Sounds like a bit of a gamble, but hey, it is Las Vegas.
Box Office Sold Out?
If the Box Office is sold out or does not have the seats you are looking for there are some alternatives. Tickets can be purchased on the secondary market from ticket brokers. Remember that ticket brokers that specialize in premium NFR tickets also charge a premium price. Their tickets are sold at above the face value so they will cost you a bit more. They also have premium seating that is always hard to find at the box office. Buying from a reputable broker is the safest and most reliable way to get tickets if the box office is sold-out but understand that you will pay a hefty amount.
NFR tickets, and just about everything else in the world, can also be found on ebay. There are some things to look out for when buying on ebay. Make sure you are dealing with a reputable company, not an individual. In recent years a lot of people have been scammed by criminals selling fake tickets. They get the money and you are stuck outside with a fake ticket in your hand. Also be sure to look at the company’s ebay feedback rating. You may want to avoid sellers with too little or negative feedback and always look for a physical address where the seller can be found.
If you feel like gambling in Vegas, you can always look to get tickets from a ticket scalper the day of the event. If you know you are going to buy tickets off the street do some research first. Find out where the best seats are and where the worst seats are or bring a printout of the stadium seating so you know where your seats will be. Know how many rows are in each section. This will help you avoid buying counterfeit tickets. Here’s a review and seating chart of Thomas and Mack to help you out. Don’t rely on a scalpers seating chart. Be skeptical, bring your own printout and don’t let them scam you. As with ebay, there are an increasing number of criminals scalping counterfeit tickets to events. If you buy tickets from some guy off the street, you have no recourse if the ticket turns out to be a fake.
Another online ticket trading or auction site is StubHub.com. Be just as weary using this site as you would be on eBay. There are good deals to be found online but if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I hope this guide assists you in finding tickets to the National Finals Rodeo. If in December you find yourself in Vegas, be sure to play a quarter for me.
