Location:Rain at the Palms Las Vegas

Pro: V.I.P. staff is professional

Con: It's "hip" is history

Being a veteran of going to Vegas with all my guy friends the last 7 years on Labor Day weekend...I had a feeling this place was over. But we've done the V.I.P. skybox lounge at Rain every year and it's always was great. This year, a few of us had a gut feeling the place was not going to be good. Our instincts were correct because the place is completely over.

Even one of the staff said Rain has lost it's "hipness".

Reason why is that newer, trendier clubs have opened in the last 2 years and they are now "the place to be". There are 8 V.I.P. skyboxes at Rain. In the past, you had to book them a month early to get one. We got there and besides us, there was only 1 other skybox booked! You used to have so much trouble walking around because the place was packed. Not anymore. The buzz is gone and I will not be surprised if this place closes its doors in the next year or so and gets a makeover to with a new design, concept, and most importantly...publicity. The excitement of going to Rain has gone down the drain.
