What it’s like at Nobu Las Vegas?
It could be described as hip, trendy, loud, cool or any other moniker that could be placed on an establishment that is trying to attract clientele with money to burn. With that said, if you like the atmosphere where you feel like part of a crowd that is sharing an experience in a hip club, you’ll love it. If you love Las Vegas and especially the vibe at the Hard Rock then you will fit right in. Some of the good looking servers seem pretentious while others are not really sure if they belong there. All that means is that most of the time you will get great service but it can be inconsistent. The price is up there and I can guarantee that you will pay at least $150 for two people to have a memorable meal.
How’s the food at Nobu Las Vegas?
The food is very good! The sushi is fresh as is all the seafood and most entree's will introduce your taste buds to delirium. I usually start with the lobster ceviche, infused with citrus flavors that seem to transport me to the tropics. If I am low on cash I can satiate my needs with the Shrimp Pasta with the garlic sauce. (it might be the cheapest thing on the menu at $19) If the tables have been good to me, I order like a starving fool. The Shrimp and Maine Lobster with Lemon Sauce and the Scallops in Spicy Pepper are two entrée’s that will not disappoint you. Of course, I always have to loud up on the sushi, the yellowtail is always fresh as is the fresh water eel. As for rolls, you can’t miss the spicy tuna rolls, the soft shell crab or the shrimp tempura roll.
If you really want to spend some cash and get the full Nobu experience try the chef’s tasting menu. It will be over $100 but it will include at least 5 courses and you will get such a variety of items that you will not feel the pain of a $300 check.
