Restaurant Review - Garduno's at the Palms by lugnut
Visited August 2008

By Zeke Quezada, About.com Guide

Location:Garduno's at the Palms Hotel & Casino

Pro: Everything

Con:The misters on the patio won't be turned on

The food is ALWAYS worth the money, and we are frequent patrons of this fine establishment. We mostly go for the Sunday brunch, which for the value ($16.12 including taxes), is outstanding.

My favorite dishes include the pozole and pork carnitas. There is no place that I've been in Las Vegas that makes pozole (with green chiles) correctly other than the Palms Garduno's staff on Sundays! I love it, and paired with all the proper trimmings of the soup, it's outstanding.

The buffet also offers a wide variety of other foods, including chicken & beef enchiladas, chicken & beef tacquitos, chorizo, machaca, and a long list of other goodies. The standard American fair of eggs, bacon, sausage, etc., is also available, and can also include made to order French toast and omelettes as well, with all your favorite ingredients. There's also peel and eat shrimp, for you mariscos lovers! The salsa bar is not to be skipped, as well as the fresh fruits for dessert. A true gem in the desert, the Palms is one of my favorite Sunday stops. The rest of the week, is pretty good too!

You won't be disappointed, especially if you sit on the patio and peruse the eye candy at the pool while you enjoy your meal in the shade. Try it, you'll like it!
