1. Minus 5 at Mandalay Place at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas

Get yourself a frozen drink, cozy up with the large parka and gloves and experience an ice bar in Las Vegas. All ice, all around you. You won't stay here all night but it is one of those things you have to try once.

2. Eastside Lounge at Encore Las Vegas

I'm a fan of the Eastside Lounge because I enjoy a good drink and I love the idea of sitting around and taking far too long drinking it and people watching. The Eastside Lounge at Encore Las Vegas is set along windows that lookout onto the pool deck and is right off the casino floor. There is a sense of elegance and comfort that brings me back over and over again.

3. LAVO at Palazzo Resort Las Vegas

Before the doors open to the club the lounge at LAVO at the Palazzo is perfect for Las Vegas, The room is large and the seating is comfortable and you also have the option of going out onto the terrace that overlooks the Las Vegas strip. It does get crowded, however, once the doors to the club open, the bar and lounge scene gets so much better as the thinner crowd makes for better conversation and more comfort.

4. Rhumbar at Mirage Las Vegas

You are right on the strip, you are having a drink, you are living life! What else do you need? I can sit in one place for hours enjoying a beverage of choice as long as there is plenty to see and Rhumbar gives you that opportunity as it is situated at the entrance to the mirage with a view of the Volcano and the Las Vegas strip.

5. Margaritaville at the Flamingo Las Vegas

Did you say boat drinks, booze in the blender and festive music that makes you want to work on eliminating tan lines? Oh yeah, that's my kind of place, pull up a stool, sing to the music and let your worries melt away with a little of the Jimmy Buffet mindset right in the middle of the Las Vegas strip. The shrimp is boiling, the drinks are flowing and I'm sure someone can find you some sponge cake.

6. d.vino at the Monte Carlo Hotel Las Vegas

The wine sampling machine will keep you at the bar for hours. The food will give you reason to prolong your stay even more and the friendly atmosphere will soon make you a transplant. Call the post office because you will be moving to Vegas.

8. Fleur de Lys - Las Vegas Bars

It's a lounge in a restaurant at the Mandalay Bay but it is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink and conversation. They have food as well, but the atmosphere might get you going and soon you will be thinking of dessert. I like the fact that it's just off the casino and it is very small. You get the feeling that you are hiding your relationship when sit here for a quick drink and conversation. Did someone say role playing?

9. Tabu - Las Vegas Bars

This is the Las Vegas bar you should check out. Their motto "Immerse yourself in a sea of sensual sophistication. You're invited. Your inhibitions aren't." You better wear clean underwear.

10. Rouge at the MGM Grand

What is it like? It has a sense of upscale class in an unpretentious setting. This is one of those lounges that is very Las Vegas. Have a friendly conversation, meet someone friendly or perhaps plan some friendly interludes.
