What it’s like at the VooDoo Lounge at the Rio:
Located high up on the Rio suites tower, it offers a great view and occasionally good live entertainment. There is no dance floor but a nice outdoor patio where you can look out on to the city. The crowd is less pretentious than you will find at some of the other outdoor lounges. The line can get wicked on a weekend night but the views are great and you will have a good time.
Suggestion:
Don't eat the food here, by Las Vegas standards it's only average and you seem to pay for the view. Eat downstairs at the Village seafood buffet and then sit around and drink up stairs. They have updated the lounge chairs and the scene is a bit more upscale so relax and indulge high roller style.
If you do want to circumvent the line downstairs you can grab yourself a reservation and munch on some cajun appetizers and a few drinks before heading up to do some "lounging"
