Get ready for the best New Year's Eve party of your life! A few details to know about deciding that Las Vegas is where you should be as today turns to tomorrow and a giant party erupts.
Take a look at our New Year's Eve 2013 parties page to help you plan your evening.

Find The Right Hotel for New Years in Las Vegas

You'll need to find a hotel that is convenient for your plans during the evening. If you are planning on going to a club for your celebration I'll suggest you stay at the hotel where you plans have you on New Year's Eve. Once the crowds build it is very difficult to get around and you'll lend up missing dinner reservations as well as getting to the club late if you don't have a goof base camp. However, that doesn't always work so if you are going to try to get from one hotel to another start trying to figure out alternate entrances for the casino and hotel. A back entrance through self help will be much easier to navigate than a strip entrance.
Where Would I stay? I would consider Cosmopolitan, Flamingo and Palazzo. They all have great locations for the fireworks and for moving around the strip.

Find a Cheap Flight for New Years in Las Vegas

Getting to Las Vegas does not have to cost a fortune. Make sure to book early and shop around as many locations as possible. If all else fails, cram into a car and do the Road Trip to Las Vegas for New Years Eve on the strip. Package deals might be difficult to come by but sites such as AA.com and Expedia can often help you get a reasonable price for your vacation.

Find a Place to Dance on New Years in Las Vegas

If you are going to Las Vegas for New Years Eve, the chances are very good that you will be looking for a place to bring in the New Year on the Las Vegas strip. If you decide to hit a club or a bar make sure you are in the casino early before you get locked out. The strip is nuts after 8 pm so have a plan.

Find a Place to Eat on New Years in Las Vegas

If you decide to have a New Years Eve meal you might want to plan that as soon as possible. People will be everywhere and reservations will be mandatory. Consider a very large lunch at a deli and then blow off the dinner plans for a liquid meal of Bourbon and Coke on the strip. However, If I'm thinking of a good meal I would choose a spot like STK for the party atmosphere, Comme Ca for the view of the strip and if I'm going real simple I go with Carlos 'n Charlies at Flamingo to get the party started really early.

New Year's Day Bowl Games in Las Vegas

New Year's in Las Vegas does mean football and beers so you'll need to find the right spot. You can sit at a sports book and watch the game our you could hit a nice place like Lily Bar and Lounge at Bellagio. Televisions are everywhere but consider the menu such as the beers at The Pub at Monte Carlo or the Pub Grub at Public House Luxor.

What is it Like on New Year's Eve on the Las Vegas Strip

There might be quite a few people on the Las Vegas strip during the celebrations and the fireworks. In recent years the crowds have dissipated rather quickly and you can make your way into a hotel by 2 am. Remember, if you decide to celebrate on the the street you'll be with a huge crowd of people and you wil lbe exposed to the elements. Dress appropriately because it is not all that simple to walk back to your room for another layer if you are cold.

Where are the Parties?

Las Vegas does not have a shortage of places to have a drink and celebrate. New Year's Eve in Las Vegas will promise to give you more than you can handle so all you have to do is choose the type of experience you want. Do you want a club or a lounge? Are you more of a bar or a restaurants person? Be safe, stay warm and plan ahead. Happy New Year!
