Updated Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino Review

Approach the Monte Carlo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino from the south and you'll think that the party is never ending when you look at the people having fun inside of Diablo's Cantina. The restaurant opens out on to the Las Vegas strip and happy hour seems to go all day. You'll be surprised when I tell you that I often tell people that the Monte Carlo is a good fit for families looking to find an affordable hotel in Las Vegas while not completely going the cheap route.

The rooms are still looking very good at Monte Carlo and even though this hotel has opened in 1996 it has seen some upgrades and changes. After a fire on the top floors, Hotel 32 at Monte Carlo was opened and it now is easily one of my favorite places on the Las Vegas strip. The rooms are all suites and they are not only spacious but they come with friendly suite assistants to help make your stay very pleasant.

Downstairs you can expect a fancy French dining experience at Andre's, casual and affordable Italian at D.vino and family style Asian dining at Dragon Noodle. What you should really be looking for is The PUB at Monte Carlo where the beer list is in a bulging folder and the screens are in abundance. A burger and beer with over 200 to choose from makes this a place you must visit at the Monte Carlo.

You'll need to have a drink at Minus 5 Ice Bar simply because the idea of a bar made entirely out of ice is exactly what you need in Las Vegas. Be careful because it does get very cold when you are holding an ice glass and sitting on a block of ice.

The warm weather months bring beach volleyball and fun in the lazy river as well as a wave pool.

Entertainment options at Monte Carlo Las Vegas
Major changes have come to the entertainment at Monte Carlo Las Vegas as the Blue Man Group has taken over the theater and their is very little chance that you'll see that show and not come out with a little rhythm.

The tram makes a stop here and you can access ARIA, CityCenter and Bellagio without ever having to walk out onto the Las Vegas strip. Walking distance from Monte Carlo Las Vegas you get the Cosmopolitan Hotel, the Miracle Mile Shops and New York-New York Hotel and Casino.
