When the word was out that the Hacienda would be imploded to make room for a new hotel I was sick to my stomach. When the Mandalay Bay opened in March of 1999 I actually said, "Hacienda, what Hacienda?" The past is soon forgotten in Las Vegas but the future always looks good.
