Pro: close to everything for us

Con: overpriced now and getting dumpy

1) We have been staying in the Plaza for years and always have asked for the North Tower facing Fremont Street. Last April I phoned to make the same reservation and was told that we would have to pay an additional $25.00 per night to have the same view.:):)

2)Every time we do stay at the Plaza there is ALWAYS something wrong with our room. Last time(same holiday) we had to move to 2 different rooms because there was a leak with the toilet-very smelly) and then the sink taps weren't working. We had to move twice ourselves with no apologies for the inconvenience. Then our:):)key card didn't work -not once but 4 times, so back down we went and stood in line to have our card keyed properly. :):)

3)The work out room is a laugh , maybe 2 old items in the room.:):)

4) Escalators from the 2nd floor have been not working on the hair salon/work out room for as long as we have been coming there.:):)

5)There is NO coupons upon checking in anymore.:):)

6)Wrote a message to them about our last visit - never heard from them!:):)

We are going to Vegas on July 1st for a week again. Yes, we are staying at the Plaza because we want to see if its still the same and my husband plays poker there. This time we are only staying 3 days instead of the normal 7-8 days.:):)I think something should be done about the Plaza soon - perhaps some paint, paper, plumber, maid staff could actually clean the tubs etc. a little better. Heck, when it rains there the 2nd floor has tons of big garbage cans to catch all the water!!:):)

If there was another choice that was comparable money we would go there. This time around we are also going to stay at the El Cortez (I'm panicking already-husband choice)and just trying to make reservations on-line was horrifying and lengthy. I will be discussing their website with someone when I get there - I still get mad thinking about it. Then we are also spending a couple of days in Laughlin - much cheaper and most enjoyable there. :):)

I love and adore Las Vegas for the desert, sun, mountains, and people watching, plus there really is lots to do. Can't say I like all the changes.:):)Thanks for letting me vent. Enjoy your website very much. Keep up the great work!:):)Regards,:):)Chyrel, Canadian visitor
