Con: the hotel is a maze since it is 2 buildings...
The last time that I stayed at the Flamingo...really noticed its age...and the clientèle had changed somewhat...since I usually am there alone, it matters to me...the hotel is a maze and unless you are near the elevator bank, you are in for the "walk from hell" to get to your room so I recommend stating you want a room near the back elevator bank near the pool and habitat area...The atmosphere of the buffet is nice to look out and see the swans etc but the food is sub par...there is so much better that Vegas offers...the pool is great...love those slides but it is true about people throwing a towel on a lounge chair to "reserve" a spot and then going to breakfast or whatever...and so spots are hard to come by...check in at the hotel can take forever...good Pina Coladas at the bar...and Deli is not that good but alot of good history at the hotel...there are not many hotels left that date back to the old Vegas Days...but better to visit not stay there.
