My choice for a Mother's Day meal usually includes a restaurant where they will be comfortable and there is enough happening so that I can steer the conversation from what I actually do for a living to how much fun they are having.

Family style eating, large windows to distract them when I have the second of five cocktails and large portions to cut down on cost. (Don't judge me, you don't know my mother-in-law)The children eat well here and they enjoy watching the grandmas chow down on the spicy arrabiata.

If you need to make up for a bad year this will do it on Mother's Day. This is a high end mother's day celebration but the wine list is perfect to help you forget the size of the tab when your mother leaves with the large smile on her face. After this meal her friends will really believe you're loaded with cash.
3. Postrio at the Venetian Hotel
Sit on the patio and get the outdoor feeling in a climate controlled Las Vegas piazza. Postrio on Mother's Day is perfect because so much is happening around them that they feel like you set it up for them to have a great time. The food is good and the atmosphere is fun.
