If you want a gourmet sandwich but don't want gourmet prices head to the back of the MGM Grand Hotel and find yourself a culinary treat. Roasted vegetables between two pieces of heavenly baked bread will never make you so happy. Also, the price is very reasonable on a relative basis.
2. Canonita at Venetian

My wife thinks this place is very romantic because you can hear the gondoliers as they sing in the canals. The place is very comfortable and you get very good value for your dollar. Taqueria Canonita is probably the least expensive of the restaurants at the Venetian and you might find yourself considering a return trip.

Have yourself some gumbo at the bar and you might even toss in a beer while you are sitting down. You'll get out for less and you will be very satisfied. There are plenty of things on the menu to drive the prices right out of your budget so be careful.
4. McFaddens at Rio
McFadden's at the Rio is a good alternative for a cheap meal in Las Vegas. You have to watch the alcohol intake or the bill creaks above $20 but there are plenty of options below the magic threshold of the almighty $20. Big bowls of pasta and bread are always a joy to share. Two people who are frugal can get away from Trevi under $25 easily. My wife and I have done it on plenty of occasions. Share a salad and a bowl of pasta and the meals turns romantic as well. Do not think of yourself as cheap, clever, yes and very resourceful. Lean in and give your special someone a garlic kiss as you hover over one bowl of rigatoni.
