What it’s like Canter's Deli?

This deli imported from right on Fairfax in Los Angels is roomy and has a modern design that looks nothing like the original. Walk up and order and then take a seat in the spacious dining room while the sounds of slot machines ring in your head. The restaurant itself lacks character but the food is well worth it.

This is the place where you load up before an evening of naughty behavior. If your belly is full you will be able to go until 3 am and then you can stop into the Peppermill for your early breakfast. Share a meal here and you get off real cheap.

How’s the food at Canter's Deli?

Typically, I will order the Fairfax which is a simple Corned beef and Pastrami on rye. The Corned beef is always juicy and the pastrami has just enough spice to make me crave another half sandwich. My wife swears by the turkey but if you ask me it is way too dry. One thing, if you have kids and you order the grilled cheese be aware that they consider burned as grilled. My kid always sends it back.
