Yes, I have a huge list of things to do in Las Vegas, but I think these are some of those that are tough to pass up. So, pack your bags for Las Vegas and prepare yourself for some fun. If you are still in the planning stages of use the bets things to do by category page and you should get a better idea of what Las Vegas has to offer.
1. Indoor Skydiving in Las Vegas
I should warn you before you read on that the feeling of floating through the air without having to jump out of an airplane can be addicting. If you take your children they will talk your ear off about the experience and if you do it you'll have a hard time not starting every sentence with "I went skydiving today." You have been warned, it's about as much fun as you can have in Las Vegas and not be on the edge of the what is socially acceptable. This is one of the best things to do in Las Vegas because you can do it with your entire family or alone.
2. Visit Red Rock Canyon
Spend a day exploring the Southern Nevada desert or climbing a sandstone rock face. Interpretive trails and a respite from the Las Vegas strip are a perfect reason to visit Red Rock Canyon. A quick 25 minute drive up Charleston and you get to the visitor's center. This is an ideal day trip from the Las Vegas strip. This is probably the best thing to do that involves the natural scenery of Las Vegas. What makes it the best is the close proximity to the strip and not having to waste an entire day of your vacation for some sight seeing.
3. Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
The World's Ocean encompasses so much that we find it hard to truly appreciate all that it has to offer. Take a trip to Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and get a very un-Vegas adventure. You get a view of the creatures that make the ocean home and learn so much about the creatures that are often feared when in fact they deserve far more appreciation. This is the best way to come up close with a few sharks. Put this on your list of things to do and grab a picture with a jelly fish and touch a few sting rays.
4. Adventuredome at Circus Circus
Las Vegas can be for kids and Adventuredome at Circus Circus has plenty for your children to do. Keep the kids occupied at Adventuredome with water rides, roller coasters, arcades and a them park atmosphere. Adventuredome is a large climate controlled structure located at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. This is your best option for getting close to losing the contents of your stomach while riding a theme park attraction. It's fun, but you'll put this on your best things to do in Las Vegas list because the lines are short and the thrills are long.
5. Ride a Gondola at the Venetian Hotel
It's one of those things in Las Vegas that you have to do just because it is a tiny bit absurd, a little fun and if you are with the right person it is almost romantic. Ride a gondola and have some guy with a bad accent sing to you. This could be your best way to propose marriage or just act romantic.
6. Examine Bodies: The Exhibition at Luxor
Bodies -- a thoroughgoing exhibition on human anatomy using real cadavers and body parts -- is guaranteed to get you out of your comfort zone unless you, a. have a background in the mortuary arts or work in a morgue, or, b. really dug dissection in your high-school biology class. This is the best thing to do if you really need to see the inside of a human cadaver.
7. The Fountains at the Bellagio Hotel
Stand out front of the Bellagio and watch as the music and the water are perfectly choreographed for your pleasure. This might be the best free show in Las Vegas. The Fountains at Bellagio can be very romantic so watch yourself. If you really want the full effect, go in to the Bellagio Hotel and get a seat at Olives. Enjoy some fine food and the show while indulging!
8. CityCenter Las Vegas Fine Art Collection
The art at CityCenter is a broad combination of style and media from sculptures and paintings to large scale installations. The Fine Art collection will be located throughout CityCenter with installations both indoors and out to create a roving gallery of masterpieces that will be viewed by visitors and guests alike. Imagine for yourself a 67 acre gallery where the art is incorporated into the architecture, into the public spaces and into the retail and entertainment districts.
9. Imperial Palace Auto Collection Las Vegas
The collection is impressive and you'll roam the showroom with tiny fantasies slowly developing as you spot your favorite cars. I'll admit I'm not a big car guy but as I made my way around the showroom I soon felt like I needed a few of these classic cars. The display changes as cars are bought and sold on a daily basis. Every car on the showroom floor can be yours for the right price.
10. Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Las Vegas
Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage is home to white tigers and bottle nose dolphins in a setting that is set up like a mini zoo. You get a great look at the tigers as they playfully wrestle each other and the dolphins swim around in endless play.
