The iconic image of the Las Vegas sign is fabulous for your mantle but if you want a view that will have you gazing off into the distance for an endless amount of time you'll need to book a room at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. The Bellagio Fountains dance below you and the Las Vegas strip and all of its lights sparkle right out of your terrace door. The hotel has also begun to put binoculars in their guest rooms in order for you to zoom in on the things you really want to see.

Other great places to get a great view in Las Vegas:

• The top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas. You get a view of the Bellagio Fountains as well but the added bonus is the 360 degree view of the entire Las Vegas Valley. My only problem is that you have to take your pictures through the holes in the protective fence and you have to share the space with other visitors.
• The Stratosphere Tower is on the north end of the Las Vegas strip and the view from there allows for a full frame of Las Vegas.
• The View From Mix at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay is an impressive north facing view that directs your eye right up the Las Vegas strip and then beyond toward the stratosphere.
