What it’s like at Wazuzu at Encore Las Vegas?

The dining room is right off the casino floor so you might be distracted by the action in the casino but do not despair when the food comes out you’ll be focused. The feeling is casual and very comfortable and you can easily forget that you are in a luxury hotel in Las Vegas.

The service is excellent and what you should expect at a Steve Wynn property. Have faith in your server, explain your desires and they will match the right dish to your tastes.

How’s the food at Wazuzu at Encore Las Vegas?

This might be the most exciting thing to happen to the Las Vegas dining scene in a very long time. Chef Jet Tila is the real deal. If you know someone who has cooked with him or has been taught by him you will understand what I mean. His ability to explore ingredients, blend flavors and introduce you to places you never knew existed in the range of your culinary experience will fascinate you.

What are you craving Pork Belly buns, Chicken Curry, what about sushi or some Pad Thai noodles that will redefine your definition of Thai? You need to try Wazuzu for the simple fact that this is inventive cuisine by a very talented chef.

What you should try at Wazuzu at Encore:

  • Drunken Noodles - The beef is spicy, the small tomatoes are sweet, the Thai Basil and the chili and onions create such a flavorful dish that you almost forget that this is only a fraction of what you are at Wazuzu for.
  • Crispy Fish with Thai Herbs - You need to order this because the way the chef has used the mango salad to extract flavor from the trout will delicately have you craving fish for the rest of your stay. The flavors will stimulate you.
  • Tom Yum Goong Soup - Hot, sour and spicy prawn soup with shimenji mushrooms - It's a Thai soup with a kick of Thai peppers and salt. A small bowl is not enough but you must refrain because there are so many other incredible things on the menu.
  • Wazuzu Pineapple Fried Rice - Chinese sausage, roast duck, pineapple and shrimp. If you don't finish it, put that thing in a box and set your alarm clock to wake you up while sleeping so that you can have it a second time.
  • High "Roll"er - Toro, Maine Lobster, caviar...you still with me? This is certainly a treat and the presentation is jsut as good.
  • Sake! - Need I say more?
  • The service - The staff at Wazuzu do an incredible job of making sure you have a great time. They are willing to share their thoughts on the menu and on their favorite items. Trust your server and you will be in for an amazing meal.
