What it’s like at Lemongrass at ARIA Resort at CityCenter Las Vegas?

The main dining room is set away from the casino so the sights and sounds of Las Vegas are not present. There are pockets of natural light present that are features of Aria that you’ll notice throughout the resort. The décor is modern and the room can seem a little busy. Personally I like that in a Thai restaurant as you get a bit more of an authentic feel to the place and it’s cuisine.

How’s the food at Lemongrass at ARIA Resort at CityCenter Las Vegas?

Spicy, if you like it that way they can deliver on the spice while maintaining the Thai flavors that would have attracted you to Lemongrass in the first place. While the flavors and quality of the food were set to high standards the prices are a bit high. One soup, one appetizer, one entrée, one Thai Iced Tea, one hot tea and $3 steamed rice = $64. Ouch, that was painful, should I mention that service was horrific?

In defense of Lemongrass, the restaurant has only been opened for a few days so the kinks have not yet been worked out and their computer system seemed to be creating a chaotic atmosphere in the kitchen. I’m not sure it explains not being able to get my water refilled or the table beside me not getting soup bowls and having to wait almost 15 minutes for them, but these problems should be worked out.

The food at Lemongrass was excellent and rivaled some of the best Asian restaurants in town, if they work out the servie issues this place might be more than a blip on the Las Vegas radar.

What you should try at Lemongrass at ARIA Resort at CityCenter Las Vegas:

  • Lemongrass Prawns
  • Salmon Spring Roll with cheddar cheese and basil
  • Yam Nuea Yang Grilled Beef Salad with grape and mint
  • Black Pepper Prawns
  • Shrimp Roll
  • Spicy Soup

Great Ambience, Great Service, Awful Food, Member rpsherwin

There is spicy - and then there is poorly prepared food drowned in massive amounts of clawing sweet/spicy sauce that hides the underlying flavor of the ingredients. Poor quality chicken. Tasteless rice. Easily the worst Thai food that I have ever tasted - and I have enjoyed fine Thai meals worldwide.
