Attire at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon Las Vegas: Business Casual

What it's like at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon Las Vegas?

Seated at the bar it gives you a sense of relaxed elegance. Casual luxury, like JFK on a sailboat, only he's French and has lost the accent.

The restaurant is small and the bar seating allows you to cultivate a quick relationship with your server. If you are on one of the tables you could feel a bit left out. Watching the food preparation is soothing as each and every person behind the counter works to meticulously prepare each masterpiece.

While the bar seating cannot be considered romantic I find that sitting right beside your date you have the opportunity to whisper into their ear. You might be addressing the exhilarating responses you get from the food, the energy in the restaurant or the plans for the evening.

This restaurant is classy, elegant and has the casual feel that helps when it comes to creating the romantic feel.

How's the food at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon Las Vegas?

If you are considering trying L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon the easiest way is to try their L'Unique pre-theater menu. It's simple, one appetizer, one entrée, and one dessert. You get two choices of each and then you are transported away to culinary bliss.

The menu changes weekly, so you might not be blessed with my selections but you'll be surprised by the excitement of a new and exciting choice on a regular basis.

Presentation is of course superb and you will find few places that pay attention to the details at they do here.

A few things you should try at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon Las Vegas.
  • Gazpacho - the flavors are what you would expect when combining the great flavors of ...I passed out, it's so good, sorry, feel the peppery spice, glorious.
  • L'Aubergine - Eggplant Caviar and crunchy young vegetables. You might not normally order this but you need to give the food a chance if you truly want to experience L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon.
  • Halibut seared with curry oil fennel cream - Sauces, the French know sauces and the curry oil, fennel creme will dispell any false ideas you may have about curry.
  • Sweetbread ravioli with thyme, spinach with garlic cream. Yeah, you're thinking you would never order that. Don't be a fool.

Dessert at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon:
Le Flan - Caramel Flan - I usually stay away from Flan because the lack of consistency does a number on my need for texture in my food. However, After a few swallows the consistency is a bit watery but the sugary greatness will make you forget the liquid and the flavors will delight your palate.

Le Crumble - Berry crumble - A little light fare right to accent your dinner. The fruit combined with the crumble is very pleasing.

The wine list at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is impressive so going the way of the bottle is a good chopice if not a bit expensive. Wine by the glass, while there is a limited selection, they are very good. Need help selecting; ask the server, he probably has sampled each on more than one occasion.
