What it’s like at the Oyster Bar at Penazzi?
The Oyster Bar is a comfortable way to have an excellent meal without having to make a reservation. Have a beer and watch the oysters get shucked. The Oyster bar is right off the casino floor so it might get a little loud but not to the point where it bothers your meal.
It’s a good place to have a casual meal.
How’s the food at the Oyster Bar at Penazzi?
The Bouillabaisse for $22 clearly is a must when you decide to have a good seafood meal in Las Vegas for relatively little money. Deep in the very flavorful saffron broth shrimp, scallops, lobster, mussels, clams and mahi swim around with a finish of red pepper.
Of course I also had to try the Cioppino for $18, it included scallops, lobster, shrimp, clams mussels and halibut in tomato broth. Wow.
I started with the Chowder at $6 and it is a candidate for a cheap meal in Las Vegas. Stay away from the beers and you could leave this place at under $10.
My problem with this place Is that it become such a fantastic eating adventure that soon I have eaten too much and indulged in a large Anchor steam, a glass of Chianti and another Pinot.
Other things you should try:
Tri colored tortellini, $13 add shrimp for $5
Sauté tiger prawns $15 so tasty you might want to move to where they harvest the shrimp. Placed on a crusty bread and drenched with a flavorful broth, you might double up and order more.
Seared halibut at $19 with roasted garlic lemon thyme cream sauce.
