What it’s like at Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens Las Vegas?
The restaurant is in a basement and it has a dungeon like feeling. Actually, I’m just joking but since the wait staff at Hugo’s paid such detailed attention to my wife I figured I would get them back. So now I have to pull out the chair for her, open doors, stand up when she gets up and not eat off of her plate.
The dining room is far different from what you would expect from a Downtown Hotel that might be passed its prime. While it does not scream fancy and expensive like some of the strips finest eating establishments Hugo’s cellar has a fancy Vegas feel to it. It reminds me of the type of place my father would take me to and not allow me to eat with my hands.
You are guaranteed very good service and an attention to the simple details that can often be forgotten by the restaurants that hire based on an aspiring actors head shots.
How’s the food at Hugo’s Cellar at the Four Queens Las Vegas?
I tend to hit the surf and turf special, once again I kid, cause I care. The sirloin and crab is simple yet divine. If you are a fan of Lamb, you might consider the Herb Crusted rack. My wife believes in the stuffed chicken but I find it hard to eat stuffed breast of anything.
Other things that have been very good in the past; the medallions, the prime rib, the monk fish and the scallops.
You will be surprised by Hugo’s Cellar, it is definitely the most underrated fine dining experience in Las Vegas. .
