What it’s like at Fiamma Trattoria ?
The room is set in modern tones that make you feel like you should have opted for more stylish clothing. However, the lighting is such that I am sure I look both younger and thinner when eating at Fiamma. I have been asked about this as a romantic restaurant but I don’t get the feel for romance when I eat here. It is comfortable, lively and generally pleasant but if you are looking for a place to wow someone this is most likely not the restaurant.
However, the bar deserves some attention as a place to have a few drinks. It has that vibe that feels like you are in Las Vegas and the night is going to start off right. There is also a sampling menu offered at the bar that will save you some money and give you a more relaxed approach to Las Vegas dining.
How’s the food at Fiamma Trattoria?
Well, I’ll get to the food but I am a Piedmont Wine drinker and they have plenty of selections here for me to return often. As you might discover that a couple of bottles of wine can make almost anything taste very good. At Fiamma Trattoria you won’t need alcohol to improve the quality of the food. The alcohol just serves to help you relax and not be so concerned with the prices. They can be a bit too high for the product being delivered to your table.
The Sautéed Prawns in linguine are tasty and they wont remind you of the Olive Garden as much as the Bolognese. If you want simple spaghetti and Meatballs go to Maggiano’s at the Fashion Show Mall. If you are hoping for a little extra with your Italian meal you should find it on this menu.
The seafood risotto is a slice of perfection. It is filling and the flavors are what you should be expecting when paying a little extra for a meal. The Rib eye will surprise you and your sense of taste. It is good. Consider the spinach sides as well as the asparagus. My wife tends to lean towards the Portobello’s but I have to tell you that I am not a fan of fungi unless it’s a Black Truffle found by a pig in the south of France.
