What it's like at Al Dente at Bally's?
Al Dente is an Italian restaurant in Las Vegas that looks a bit more like every other average restaurant around town. The dining room is spacious, lit well enough but not at all remarkable. The atmosphere is what it is, a restaurant in a mid-range hotel. If you were thinking of proposing marriage don't do it, but if you are looking to tell your dining partner a good joke this could work.
By no means is this a knock on the atmosphere at Al Dente, but typically for a restaurant with a great wine list and better than average food you might get the feeling that you should have cleaned up a bit and worked on your etiquette. I don't get that here, it's comfortable.
I hear that service can be inconsistent but I have never experienced it. The servers all are knowledgeable about the food and courteous.
How's the food at Al Dente?
If you are into Pasta, you should enjoy yourself. If you love traditional Italian without all that extra continental, fusion infused,blah, blah, blah that every chef is trying you should love this place. This is Italian cooking with the emphasis on classic ingredients as opposed to making something happen on a plate.
The meat sauce, the scampi, the veal are all delights. Have some bruschetta on the ciabatta toast and flush it down with a tantalizing Italian red and you should be pleased.
