About the show: Specialty acts are nothing new in Las Vegas, but clowns, jugglers and magicians are generally an afterthought within large productions. At "V, the Ultimate Variety Show," each specialty act is center stage, moving quickly from one performance to the next in true variety-show fashion.

The audience goes wild from the moment the curtain goes up, as drummer Doug De Forest plays a series of suspended drums while dangling from the ceiling, in true "Stomp" fashion. Below him, the Crazy Gouchos from Argentina play the perpetual clowns throughout the show. They showcase their drumming skills, make off-color jokes and pull pranks, trying to slice a flower with a bollo whip, for example, while the flower is suspended from a volunteer's mouth.

The hand-balancing duo Louri Safronov and Nikolai Meinikov is the epitome of strength. One muscleman climbs the other, and performs a headstand atop him, and then balances by placing a single hand on his partner's head. The act peaks when they balance each other using just their necks, all the while remaining as steady as statues.

Russ Merlin literally gives a new face to the audience nightly - actually, multiple new faces. He chooses four people of similar size and invites them onstage, and then provides each a mask to wear and a gesture to perform.  The masks distort the wearers' faces and create the feeling of an eerie puppet show.

Joe Trammel's performance involves rapid-fire pop culture impersonations complete with props and a musical medley. One minute he's Richard Simmons, the next he's Celine Dion, before he morphs into Tom Jones and then SpongeBob SquarePants.

In addition, you can look forward to unique acts by magician Jason Byrne, gymnast Tamara Yerofeyeva and juggler Wally Eastwood. Tickets are a bargain, considering the variety that fills the stage each night. Plus, it's a show you can bring the kids to and the whole family will have fun.
