Put on your Teflon armor, because you're about to be roasted by Vinnie Favorito. Nobody is safe inside his showroom!

The Boston native, who wears a black leather jacket and is a big fan of self-referential Italian-American jokes, admits to having only four or five actual jokes each night. The rest he gets entirely from the audience. Whether he's asking what you do, where you come from or about your ethnicity, Favorito manages to spin any answer into comedic gold. He refers to his schtick as "street-level comedy."

His act is reminiscent of Don Rickles and Howie Mandel. Favorito relies on his quick wit and stellar memory to crack impromptu jokes, then returns to them time and again throughout the show.  He's loud, crass and inappropriate - and the audience loves every minute of it.

Favorito got into comedy in hopes of overcoming his debilitating stage fright. He says his riffing skills started in his youth, when he would have to talk his way out of fights. After taking a comedy class, he went on to become a Star Search champion on a Top-40 radio program. He's appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" and "Best Damn Sports Show Period." But what he's best known for are the Friars Club roasts, where he's taken on Tom Arnold, Larry King, Jerry Springer and more. Favorito is the 1998 winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and the Boston Herald named him on of Boston's Top 10 comedians.

Show Times for The Vinnie Favorito Comedy Show: Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm; Sundays at 8:30 pm.

Tickets: Ticket prices begin at $47.20. For $11 more you can be upgraded to VIP seating, which places you closer to the stage - and ups the likelihood that you'll be an unwitting participant in the show.
