About the show: In the '60s, the unruly crew of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford added a dash of sophistication and swing to Las Vegas Boulevard. The Rat Pat also brought along their reputation for boozing and carousing, of course.

The premise of The Rat Pack is Back is that they've returned for one night only to wow us again. Well, four of them return, anyway. Lawford's presence is all but erased, aside from a joke that's made by a waiter as he's filling drinks: "Frank, can you keep it down? I'm trying to take drink orders," he cries from the audience. After being rebuffed by Sinatra, the waiter mutters under his breath, "I'm filling in for Peter Lawford."

Humor suffuses the show, from Bishop's stand-up schtick to the interplay among the four guys and a guest appearance by a red-sequin-clad Marilyn Monroe, who asks Sinatra why the audience is looking at her. "They see dead people," he quips.

But it's not all about jokes. Singing is the main attraction, of course, and each member is right on target. With a impressive array of solos and harmonies, such as That's Amore, Mr. Bojangles and My Way, you're in for a memorable evening. Each toe-tapping rendition is a reminder of the Rat Pack's influence on pop culture.

The Plaza Showroom, with its round leather booths, velvety red walls, ornate chandeliers and gold scalloped curtain, is a reminder that history still does exist in Las Vegas. And, at least for one night, you can be a part of it.

Show times for Rat Pack is Back: Monday through Friday 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Tickets for Rat Pack is Back: Ticket prices start at $57. If you prefer to enjoy dinner with the show, tickets start at $71. Dinner (steak, chicken or pasta primavera) begins an hour and a half before the curtain rises.
