Description: Retro rules at Polly Esther's, whose 26,000 square feet of space is divvied into "experiences" from the '70s, '80s, '90s and today. The four clubs -- Polly Esther's, Culture Club, Nerve Ana and Suite 2000 -- are complete with period music and paraphernalia (think Pac Man, grunge wear and the lit-from-below dance floor in Saturday Night Fever). Drink specials keep spirits high, and on Saturdays the club hosts Birdy's Bachelorette Party, an interactive show from the producers of Tony 'n Tina's Wedding.
Hours: Wednesday through Saturday from 10. p.m. to 4 a.m.
Cover: Varies by night and special events. Reserve tables and bottle service by calling (702) 889-1980.
About the Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel and Casino: You can't miss it: The tower juts nearly 1,200 feet into the sky. It's removed from the heart of the Strip, but bargain rooms, 80,000 square feet of gaming floorspace, and the tower's thrill attractions -- Insanity: The Ride, which dangles riders into the void and spins, and XSCREAM, a see-saw nearly 900 feet in the air -- keep visitors coming back.
Pre-club dining: Singing staffers serve burgers and the like at retro Roxy's Diner, while Naga Chinese Express specializes in contemporary pan-Asian dishes. The Top of the World is an elegant, revolving dining room atop the tower with unparalleled views.
