Description: Located inside the Excalibur Hotel and Casino's Castle Walk shopping center, Octane is Las Vegas' version of a hard-rockin' biker dive -- part Roadhouse, part Coyote Ugly -- complete with leather-clad staffers who sing and dance on the bar, boozy drink specials (try the High Octane Kiss) and custom-built hogs on display. The room's small size (it accommodates just 100 people) amps up the party atmosphere.

Hours: 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. The Octane Dancers perform Monday through Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.; live music starts at 9:30 p.m. Thursday though Sunday.

About the Excalibur Hotel and Casino: It's a mammoth, medieval-themed monument to a Las Vegas gone by, one that favored mind-blowing excess over taste. If your idea of Vegas luxury is low-lit lounges and private lap pools, head elsewhere – but if you crave high camp, book a room and soak up all the Renaissance music, impromptu jousting displays and Merlin-style decor you can handle.

Pre-club dining: Dick's Last Resort offers a sports bar menu, while the Regale Ristorante specializes in hearty Italian basics. For an upscale meal, the Steakhouse at Camelot doesn't just serve high-end beef – it also has one of Las Vegas' largest wine cellars and a cigar room.
