About Legends Steak and Seafood at The Tropicana Hotel and Casino: Want to indulge in a steak dinner and still have money to hit the casino? Legends boasts steakhouse classics at throwback prices. The beef is certified Angus beef and specialties include prime rib with horseradish sauce, porterhouse and filet mignon. Craving seafood? King crab legs and king salmon are also on the menu.
Hours: 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday
Prices: Dinner and one drink averages $30.
About the Tropicana Hotel and Casino: It's seen better days, but the Tropicana still draws loads of guests for its expansive, lagoon-style pool (with swim-up blackjack in the summer). The room rates are reasonable, but visitors looking for the modern, sophisticated Las Vegas may be disappointed with the Tropicana.
After-dinner entertainment: If you're looking for the classic Las Vegas revue with beautiful showgirls in skimpy outfits and over-the-top scenery, be sure to see the classic Les Folles Bergere. Xtreme Magic Starring Dick Arthur features the illusionist performing tricks on a grand scale -- some even incorporate tigers and leopards. The Comedy Stop at The Tropicana has been a stand-up showcase since 1983.
