About the show: Laugh Out Loud with the Scintas is the name of the show, and it really does deliver on that promise.
Frank, Joe and Chrissi Scinta (pronounced "shin-ta"), along with "adopted brother" Peter O'Donnell, were literally born to perform. The Scintas hail from Buffalo, New York; Frank and Joe were 4 and 9, respectively, when they started playing guitar, and Chrissi joined them on stage at age 5. Their parents encouraged them to develop their talent, and the kids got their start at church functions, then as adults made their way into bars, until they finally found a niche in Vegas for their unique variety show. They've been performing at different casinos around town since 2000 and are a household name around Las Vegas. But don't let the wholesome family image fool you; their humor is dry and occasionally dirty. Once you see the Tom Jones' skit, you'll understand
The show centers around genuine, old-fashioned talent: "no painted faces, no acrobats, no mimes," their website proclaism. With performances so versatile, you'll be listening to Ray Charles one minute, and Gwen Stefani the next. The show is fast-paced and refreshing. You can feel the family bond as they tease one another like only siblings can. Even their mother, who was in the audience when I attended the show, as was one of their young daughters, belted out a few lines to one of the songs.
