About the Koji Sushi Bar and China Bistro: Brightly-lit Koji is the requisite Las Vegas pan-Asian dining experience, the Orleans Hotel's effort to sate your every craving. Expect lots of Chinese favorites -- from curried Singapore street noodles to Peking duck -- and a full battery of fresh fish options from the sushi and sashimi station (plus more vegetarian dishes than you might expect). Green tea or red bean ice cream -- or some fresh lychees on ice -- round out your meal.

Hours: Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Pricing: Appetizers run from $4 to $10, entrees from $10 to $22; the sushi and sashimi menu is costlier.

About the Orleans Hotel and Casino: An off-Strip bargain choice, the Orleans looks like a New Orleans manse re-imagined by Disney (think wrought-iron balconies and a heavy Mardi Gras motif). Families enjoy the 70-lane bowling alley, video arcade, 18-screen megaplex and day care for the 3-12 set.

After-dinner entertainment: If 3,000 slot machines leave you cold, there's live music and comedy nightly, from karaoke (at the Irish-themed Brendan's Pub) to headliners like Bill Maher and Paul Anka. A 9,000-seat arena books everything from NHL exhibition games to boxing.
