Description: Gold Diggers brings a little of the Strip's luxe nightlife scene to Fremont Street. The club -- part of the Golden Nugget's recent $60 million extension -- is known for two things: an unstoppable string of '70s and '80s hits (with some Top 40 mixed in) and a vast patio that overlooks the Fremont Street Experience, a light-and-music extravaganza projected on a canopy 90 feet above street level.
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Cover: Varies by night and special events. Reserve tables and bottle service by calling (702) 385-7111.
About the Golden Nugget Las Vegas: The Nugget's come a long way since it debuted with an Old West theme in 1946. A two-phase renovation gave the once-shabby downtown stalwart a fresh lease on life. Don't miss the Hand of Faith, a 61-pound, 11-ounce gold nugget that's the world's largest.
Pre-club dining: High-end Vic & Anthony's steakhouse has its only outpost outside of Houston here. For casual eats in elegant surroundings, try the Szechuan and Cantonese specialties at Lillie's Noodle House or Grotto's updates on traditional Italian. The Nugget also features one of the most popular buffets in downtown Las Vegas.
