About the show: Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra became singing legends, broadening the American songbook. However, they never performed on the same stage together - until Barbra and Frank: The Concert That Never Was.

The tribute show begins as Barbra and Frank make an elegant entrance, he in a white tux and she in a black gown, filling the theater with "I've Got a Crush on You." It's a sweet start to a sentimental show, filled with friendly banter between Streisand, played by Sharon Owens, and Sinatra, played by Sebastian Anzaldo.

Early on, Babs reminisces about when she first played Las Vegas in 1963.

"I don't remember you here in '63," Frank says.

"Of course you don't," snaps Barbra. "You were down the street, drunk, with all those hoodlums!"

The premise of the show is that Frank has come back for one night to perform in Las Vegas.  After a few opening duets, Frank leaves Barbra alone with the piano player. She launches into impressive renditions of "People," "No More Tears" and "Papa Can You Hear Me," while playfully interacting with audience members. Her accent and mannerisms are dead-on, and when Owens sings, it's easy to forget that she's not the original.

Then it's Sinatra's turn on stage. Watching this Ol' Blue Eyes is like stepping back in time; he sips his his drink and breaks into "I've Got the World on a String," "Strangers in the Night," "Come Fly with Me" and, of course, "My Way."

He finishes his solo segment in time to allow for plenty of duets and interplay at the end. The two have an energizing chemistry, flirting and joking on stage in such a convincing way that you forget who they really are, and see them as who they claim to be.

Show times for Barbra and Frank: The Concert That Never Was: Tuesday through Friday, Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets for Barbra and Frank: The Concert That Never Was: $49.95 plus taxes and fee. For an additional $10 you can upgrade to VIP seating. But the showroom is small and intimate enough that all seats are good seats. The show is open to kids 12 years of age and older.
