About the show: Every night is like a bachelorette party at American Storm, a 70-minute extravaganza featuring seven gentlemen gyrating through tightly-choreographed routines for your clapping, whooping and money-throwing pleasure.

Audience members can get a little education along with their striptease as the men - dressed as Marines, Native Americans, 1920s mobsters and so on - re-enact great moments in American history ("a unique glimpse into our nation's past," the producers proclaim). And for those tired of the usual male-revue tropes (cops whirling billy clubs to heavy metal, for instance), take heart: You'll even see the boys don nerdish glasses and twirl to music from hipster favorites Belle and Sebastian. How's that for smashing sexy stereotypes?

The bulk of the boys aren't just exotic dancers, they're also stars of the small screen. In 2005, VH1's reality show StripSearch tapped Billy Cross, creator of Australia's Thunder from Down Under, to hold nationwide auditions. Cross selected a few good men worthy of stripping in the Chippendales' shadow.

Polly Esther's, the Stratosphere's nightclub, makes the show an intimate affair, letting audience members get up close and fairly personal with the American Storm crew (the bartenders will be happy to provide you with bills that you might use to show your appreciation for the dancers' artistry). Feel free to bring your boyfriend, husband or gay best friend: Gentlemen are more than welcome at American Storm.

Show Times for American Storm: Monday, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 pm

Tickets for American Storm: General admission is $49.95 plus taxes and fees; must be 21 to attend. Purchase tickets at the V Theater Box Office.
