Walking in Las Vegas
As I try to depict what a long walk in Las Vegas can get you, I realize that the summer heat and a few stiff drinks don't add to a great deal of enjoyment when walking three miles. AS you go through the following walking tour/picture gallery, keep in mind that you should only try this if you have readied yourself with a night of gambling, eating and maybe a few cocktails.
Distance from starting point - 0.4 miles
When you see the Sphinx at 9 am you have to think twice about how much alcohol you had the night before. In front of the Luxor where a Pyramid rises out of the Desert floor I had started my walk. Actually, from the Mandalay Bay to the Obelisk in front of the Luxor Resort it is about .4 of a mile. There is a tram that can get you to the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd. much faster but what fun is there in that?
