This place is huge and you can possible get lost more than once. 5000+ rooms gets you a lot of people in a lot of area. Try to ask for a room anywhere but the Emerald tower as these rooms tend to be smaller than the others. The resort offers everything you need and it is possible you might not ever leave the property, but what's the point? Experience Las Vegas, nearby the New York /New York Hotel and Casino, the Excalibur Resort and the Mandalay Bay all offer plenty of diversions for you.
Where to eat at the MGM Grand Hotel?:
Seablue, Craftsteak, Diego, Pearl, Fiamma Trattoria, Emeril's New Orleans Fish House, Joel Robuchon, Nobhill, Rainforest Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill, Grand Wok and Sushi Bar, Shibuya, Studio Cafe, Stage Deli, Grand Buffet; plus a Food Court.
Craft Steak is good and Fiamma is very satisfying but why waste your time when Emeril's delivers the type of food that inspires you?
Drinking and Dancing at the MGM Grand Hotel:
Studio 54 and Tabu are the places to indulge. Just remember that the cost of a drink is not directly proportional to the amount of liquor they put in that drink. You should also keep in mind that the amount of alcohol you consume does not change your appearance. With that said, the drinks are expensive and the people all seem to look very good. Making me feel a bit inferior.
Entertainment at the MGM Grand Hotel:
La Femme is a sensual show that is sure to keep you interested long after the house lights come on. The MGM Grnad garden hosts major events on a regular basis and the Hollywood theatre is a 740 seat entertainment venue where you can catch top notch acts.
The Pool at the MGM Grand Hotel:
The Grand Pool complex is quite an experience and it is open year round. In the winter at least one pool is heated and in the summer the atmosphere is very hot.
Overview of the MGM Grand Hotel:
The MGM Grand is in fact grand. The amount of quality dining choices alone are worth visiting this resort for. The Grand Garden arena can attract a lot of people to the casino so it's best to avoid after any event. Also, if you happen to attend an event there be sure to take your time exiting as it is a fire hazard if I have ever seen one. When deciding on your eating choices make sure to make reservation early as they tend to be hard to come by on weekends.
