Sinbad: February 5-7

Comedian/Actor Sinbad will take the stage at the Las Vegas Hilton February 5-7 at 10 p.m.

Sinbad has built a loyal following with sold out comedy shows and has gone from being one of the country’s funniest comedians to a national television star. Sinbad never tells jokes, “I don’t know any,” he explains. Instead, Sinbad’s brand of comedy often comes from his own personal experiences. His natural sense of humor, coupled with his unique style of comedy, has made him one of America’s most recognizable comedians.

Sinbad was the star and executive producer of his own acclaimed FOX TV Sitcom, “The Sinbad Show.” In addition, he has made his mark on the big screen with memorable performances in films such as “Houseguest,” “Necessary Roughness,” and a cameo in the film “Coneheads.”

Tickets: $55 and $45 (not including tax and handling)

Etta James: Feb. 20-21

The matriarch of rhythm and blues, Etta James will bring her powerful voice to the Hilton Theater, February 20-21 at 10 p.m.

Over 45 years ago, Etta James, then known as Jamesetta Hawkins, began her career by recording her first live album on a one-track tape machine that sat in the middle of the floor. Her first R & B hit “Roll with Me, Henry” put James on the musical map in 1954. In the 1960s, James racked up 28 Hot 100 hits and a dozen R & B Top 10 hits.

Heart-felt ballads such as “If I Can’t Have You” and soulful rock songs like “Tough Lover” and “Tell Mama” established James as an artist that could cover every musical base. She has been honored with Grammys, W.C. Handy Awards and has been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame. James recently recorded “Burning Down the House” live at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. The album covers the spectrum of her career and showcases the powerful and sultry voice that is Etta James.

Tickets: $40 and $30 (not including tax and handling)
