Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino – Las Vegas

By Zeke Quezada, About.com

What to expect at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino:

An older hotel that has a loyal following. The casino at the Imperial Palace is set back away from the strip but you can enter from a front door right on Las Vegas Blvd. where it seems that someone is always trying to give you something. Located across the street from Caesars Palace and sandwiched between the Flamingo and Harrah's this is a great location if you want to be near the major resorts but want to pay a bit less for a room.

What you might like at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino:

The location is nice as is the auto collection. The lower limit tables even on the weekends make this casino a good place to try your super system at cards. The dealertainers at the Imperial Palace will make you laugh as you lose your money.

What you might not like at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino:

The awkward entrance puts people off and many never venture into the Imperial Palace. Some do not enjoy walking along the cab drivers waiting for a fare while others avoid the relentless people up front trying to give you a coupon book or a free photo. If you need a pool you might be discouraged by their tiny slab of concrete with a hole in it. Also, look up and you can see the people on their tiny balconies gawking at you.

My suggestion for the Imperial Palace:

If you like the idea of a free room this is the type of place that is generous with its patrons. Get a players card and play the tables or slots consistently and you are sure to get at least a break on your room rate. You will get discount coupons in the mail as well.

Rooms at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino:The rooms are small and old but clean. I do hear a lot of horror stories about bad experiences from noisy neighbors and outside disturbances to flooded showers and bumpy mattresses. Prices start around $70 per night.

Rooms at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino: 2700, the rooms are on the small side and the restrooms are tiny. The showers tend to drain run very slow. Each person i speak to confirms this and I have never had a fast running drain at the Imperial Palace. Get a room overlooking the pool and you get a stunning view of the Imperial Palace pool. I say stunning because of the tiny balcony that you actually can step out onto. Save money and you still get a hotel room right on the Las Vegas strip.
