Harrah’s is like that friend from college who always seems to be having a good time and on the verge of a great party. The energy in the casino is always up and the atmosphere makes you want to sing and have a good time. Considering that you’re right across the street from Caesars Palace and the Mirage it could be that everybody is celebrating about the low room rates and the nice rooms. This is a classic destination if you enjoy up beat and friendly people 24 hours a day.

What you might like at Harrah's Hotel and Casino:
The Carnaval court on the south side of the hotel is an outdoor party with live performances and fun bartenders. The atmosphere can get wild on the weekends and you might find yourself spending a couple of days dancing, drinking and forgetting about all your troubles at the carnival court. The Piano bar is also a good place to have a few drinks and listen to two guys tell bad jokes.
What you might not like at Harrah's Hotel and Casino:
The loud music does get on your nerves if you hit a streak of bad luck on the tables or the slots. This is one property where you can never avoid walking through the casino, so if you’re traveling with children you might consider what the exposure to the gambling, drinking and smoke is worth to you.

My suggestion:
I stay at this place in the late summer because it is festive and the outdoor eating and drinking at the Carnaval court almost guarantees a good time. Spend an afternoon listening to music and having a few drinks without the hassle of getting dressed up to spend time in a stuffy nightclub.

Rooms at Harrah's Hotel and Casino: 1700 rooms that generally start around $60 per night. The newer rooms seem smaller to me but they all are clean and offer the typical things you find in a Las Vegas hotel room, blow dryer, iron, and average sized TV.
