Overall, my son had fun at this pool as he was able to play in the kiddie pool without being interrupted by a group of drunk twenty-somethings. Some hotels offer kid pools but they can become overtaken by the sun worshippers who want to recline in shallow water. The Monte Carlo has done a good job of separating this pool from the main pool with a fence and a few signs. For the adults there is some space to have a good time and enjoy the Las Vegas sun. During the summer months you will have to get down to the pool area early in order to reserve a spot near the water. The pool area can only be accessed by hotel guests but they seemed to be somewhat relaxed with this policy
