Paris Las Vegas - Paris Las Vegas Review

About.com Rating fourhalf out of Five

“I do dirty good”, her name was Chatty Kathy. As a guy it feels a little weird to ask a woman for something dirty, when she responds that she excels at “dirty” it only makes you’re day. Chatty Kathy is a good representation of what the Paris Las Vegas brings to the Strip, a high end property where the pretentiousness is left at the door. If you’re good you don’t have to prove it by acting better than anybody else. They don’t.

Over the course of my stay I came in contact with plenty of people, among them were those that work on the Eiffel tower attraction and they were cordial in answering all of my dumb questions and shared great anecdotes about their daily experiences at the Paris.

Late at night after a great deal of research at each of the lounges and bars I played craps and Kevin the craps dealer was more than friendly. Each night he comes in contact with those people who have been having a good time for the past few hours and get a little too loud, but he could not have been kinder. He laughed at my bad jokes and helped me make the right bets when my concentration lapsed.

The ultra-lounge, Risque at the Paris was a typical Las Vegas nightspot that is on the hot list.

There is a long line out front and a couple of guys that seem to be auditioning to be the door men in Heaven. I’m not sure what their criteria is for who gets in although no one I saw was sent away, it just seemed like they were doing everyone a favor by letting them in the club. Perhaps, that’s why people continue to go there, the felling of exclusivity.

Inside the club I felt as if the waitresses and bartenders made everyone feel like they were in the VIP rooms. Angela, or as she put it, Angel with an A, was great. I seemed to get lost while she was looking for to give me the change for an overpriced drink. Upon locating me she could not have been more pleasant and apologized for taking so long. She came back with another drink without me ever ordering. She was friendly and inviting as I asked questions about the club. Customer service even in a nightclub where it can be lacking was superb.

If I had to classify the Paris Las Vegas I would call it comfortably elegant. It’s a place that feels like money while making you feel comfortable.

Need a place to stay? Go to Paris in the middle of the desert, no need to go across the Atlantic.
