If you need a comfortable, classy place to stay in Las Vegas, then you need to stay at the Paris Las Vegas. In the center of the Las Vegas strip, this resort offers everything you need to make your Las Vegas vacation memorable. You need to get to the Paris Las Vegas.

Paris Las Vegas - The Feel of the place

I find myself gauging Las Vegas Hotels based on personal preferences such as the accessibility of their pool, the layout of their casino and the eating choices available. While these are always extremely important in selecting the proper place to stay you can never go wrong with trying to put a face and a personality to the hotel you choose. The Paris Las Vegas is the type of place where you will feel comfortable.

As a kid I can still remember walking into a casino with my father and being greeted by the floor supervisor. He would shake my father’s hand and then shake my hand. When I was about 18 years old, I can remember him leaning over and telling my dad, “Let him drop a few coins in the machines, it’s okay.” That is old Las Vegas, a place where even the regular guy was treated with respect and loyalty. They will not let your kid gamble at the Paris Las Vegas but they will treat you well.

Paris Las Vegas - The Service at the Paris Las Vegas

In the new Las Vegas of corporate ownership most hotels are impersonal and lack that flair for service. While I do not condone breaking the law by letting kids gamble I do long for the days when even the modest gamblers were treated well. Will it ever be like that again? Maybe not, but, the Paris Las Vegas has put its best foot forward by employing people who are making the Las Vegas experience a bit more personal.

The Paris Las Vegas has much going for it; it has the glitz, the huge resort theme and the perfect location right in the center of all the action. But, its greatest asset is the people who try their best to make sure you have a great time at the Paris Las Vegas.

I’ll be frank with you, right off the bat I was not impressed. It took three lines to finally check-in to my room when I arrived. Apparently, someone had moved the check-in sign and then I queued up behind a long line of others that made the wrong decision that I had. When I finally made my way to the desk the pleasant desk clerk apologized because my room was not ready and then asked me to come back in about two hours. I figured I could eat so I agreed.

Paris Las Vegas - The Food at the Paris Las Vegas

I decided that I would try out the cuisine at “Le Village Buffet” in the Paris Las Vegas. I asked the hostess if the food was any good, as I do almost everywhere I go. Her response was troubling, “Oh, I never eat here, but others say it’s good.” Not a great way to start a short visit. I paid my $18 and decided to set a land speed record as I headed for the variety of food stations. I can only say that I’m a sucker for a French Baguette so I really cannot be objective when categorizing this meal.

I had too much bread and the rest of the meal paled in comparison to the simple pleasure of having bread and butter. Does that mean that the buffet was weak? No, but it also did not compel me to eat either. I will say that the dessert spread was fantastic and I had my share of sweet indulges before I made my way back to the check-in counter.

The buffet does not paint the complete picture of the Paris Las Vegas

Paris Las Vegas - The Room at the Paris Las Vegas

After I arrived at my room in the Paris Las Vegas I found the view of the Eiffel tower to be captivating and I had a full view of the pool 18 floors below my window. I could look across Las Vegas Blvd. and get a full view of the Bellagio fountains. The guest room was well appointed and included internet service through the television as well as a data port where I could plug in my laptop. I have always been a fan of roomy restrooms and the Paris Las Vegas lavatory was spacious and tastefully designed. A free standing shower along with a tub to soak your wickedly tired body after a long day exploring the strip filled the spacious room.

I made my way down to the Casino and looked for a spot to have a quick cocktail. As I walked over to the bar, I walked passed others who were sitting on comfortable couches, while others were sitting café style at small tables overlooking the casino.

I made my way to the bar and waited as the bartender finished up her current order. She came over and flashed me a smile and I asked for her specialty, “I make everything good, honey”. What a response, so she talked me into a Martini, I figured it should be dirty, so I ordered a dirty Martini from th efriendly Paris Las Vegas bartender.
