What it’s like?
The restaurant is tucked away in the Le Blvd. of shops at Paris. The Caribbean influenced décor gives the dining a room a lively atmosphere and it feels more casual than upscale. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive.
This is a comfortable restaurant that can seem quirky. The food is Caribbean but can easily be just regular American grub. The Jerk pork chops, though, are definitely Caribbean influenced and they are great.
How’s the food?
Pork has a way of exploding for me when it is infused with Caribbean spices. Ortanique’s menu is no different as its Caribbean roots settle in your mouth as a take a bit of the Pork chops or any of the island inspired fish dishes. One thing that is almost a given her are the crab cakes. They can be habit forming.
Enjoy the music and the pork. You won't feel like you're on an island but you should be content.
