What it’s like?

I’m not a fan of Mexican food, just never have, maybe because my mom was not all that good at preparing the simplest of meals. Because of that, this casual restaurant at the Palms does little for me, however, it does hold a few treasures. For one, it’s a place you can go to for a meal without making a production of the entire process. Get out of the pool, dry yourself off and put a clean shirt on. It’s simple and the restaurant is just as simple. The important thing, you can have a meal for next to nothing by Las Vegas standards

How’s the food?

The real draw at Gardunos should be the chili. The real stuff, no beans, just some meat and enough spices to make your insides do somersaults. Drop me in front of a bowl of this stuff and I am taken care of for a few hours. Careful, the stomach is a very tricky organ to mess with, the chili can be spicy and you know what that means. My wife was fond of the fried pork Carnitas and my Father-in-law thought very highly of the posole ( apparently, a soup with pork and hominy, he did not let me try it).

Have some of the guacamole and a few margaritas and you should be set for the evening. I would try the Sunday brunch for the ultimate value meal.
