What it’s like?

Francesco’s lacks flair and an identity. It sits along the Treasure Island casino and you can easily walk past it a few times and not give it a second thought. It’s a shame because there is some decent food being served here. The restaurant is comfortable and quite casual. The excitement that fills the room generally comes from the show kitchen that allows you to get a view of your food being cooked. It’s a good place to take your wife but not a good place to take a date. Does that sound rude? Your significant other wants to enjoy the food; your date wants to see if you can impress them.

Your run of the mill Italian restaurant. You can have veal, pasta and a few seafood choices. If you are going to see Mystere it's a convenient place. Be sure to take a look at the celebrity artwork around the restaurant.

How’s the food?

The pastas are simple and never overwhelming. I am a parsley, garlic and olive oil guy and they can fix the simplest dishes and make them work. The sauces are not overbearing but very tasty. I’m sure they would not consider themselves minimalist but the food gives me the feeling that they work just enough to give you a decent meal. They do not go over the top.

The risottos are excellent, as are the pastas, but consider the seafood linguine as it is exploding with flavors from the sea
